Restoration monument Leiden - tiny house

area: 40m²
design: 2022
construction: 2023
current phase: gereed

Description:
Behind the Rapenburg in Leiden on a small alley is this small monumental building.
This property has been completely restored and converted into a tiny upstairs flat with downstairs garage.
The upstairs flat is only 32m² in size, which meant it had to be cleverly designed to be as optimal as a tiny house. The upstairs flat was slightly enlarged by pushing the kitchen through the rear façade, so to speak, into a small extension on the first floor.
This extension is clad in copper-brown zinc, which blends beautifully with the brickwork and the green surroundings of the Rapenburg back gardens.
